Software Engineer II - Destination

About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong technical and problem solving skills to join our team working on destinations. The work is very diverse — all the way from patching software to building database drivers to optimizing the behavior of sync services operating on our global Kubernetes compute cluster. You’ll become an expert on databases, warehouses, and data lakes.This is a full-time position based out of our Bangalore office.

What You’ll Do

• Work on core features of the product

• Write destinations to integrate with source systems

• Contribute to feature enhancements and bug fixes

Skills We’re Looking For

• Strong technical and problem-solving skills with 3+ years of professional experience writing Java code in the production environment

• Experience in reliable distributed systems, with an emphasis on high-volume data management platforms that operate under strict SLAs

• Write well-structured code following programming best practices

• Specify a software design to satisfy project requirements

• Expertise in working with Java, popular Cloud platforms, Cloud-based APIs, databases

• Can troubleshoot problems with existing code

• Optimizes code to make it more performant

• Ensures that accepted coding practices are followed by teammates

• Work well in a team

Optional Bonus Skills

• Experience with Data Lakes and Catalogs

• Experience with Data Warehouses 

• Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT)

• Experienced working in a cloud environment utilizing AWS, GCP, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, BuildKite, or similar technologies.
