Intern - Fullstack Engineer

This intern will support Distributed Intelligence in building full-stack applications.  They will work on new product development including design, analysis, and testing. Distributed Intelligence provides next generation edge computing applications which enable our customers to solve complex grid operations use cases. 

 Duration

40 hours per week during summer 2025. The target start is May/June, and the internship concludes August/September, depending on student academic schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and execute application code to support product development

• Support, analyze and understand complex software systems and collaborate with team members to improve the overall design

• Develop and support the testing of product features throughout the entire development cycle

Required Experience & Skills

• Education: enrolled in an accredited and related degree program with completion of at least two years of college-level coursework (Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related)

• Backend development experience - C#, Python and MS SQL Database or equivalent

• Frontend development experience - Typescript, Angular, React or equivalent

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a group

• Ability to work on a globally distributed team

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of standard enterprise level software development life cycles

• Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Databricks and/or Apache Spark

• APIs - REST development  

Physical Demands

This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

This position will be tied to our San Jose, CA location with hybrid work flexibility of 1-3 days on-site per week.

San Jose, CA: $25.00 - $57.69 per hour
