Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer in Lounge Supply you will join a team that is serious about design, rock solid APIs and fun.

You will join a team that is responsible for developing the products to plan and procure the best supply for our customers. We build frontend and backend services to support our business users on their journey and strive to automate as much as possible.

You will contribute to the design and development of large scale microservices-based and event driven services.

The team also has a long standing tradition of having regular celebrations and occasional evening gatherings.

What We'd Love You To Do ( And Love Doing )

Develop, deploy, operate and improve frontend services that help our department execute their work efficiently and have a direct impact on our daily business. Make modifications to the backend services to unblock frontend development.

• Contribute to frontend tasks (around 30%) using React and Typescript.

• Contribute to backend tasks (around 70%) using Go, mostly to support frontend development.

• Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers and Analysts across Zalando to create positive customer impact together.

• Improve our internal processes, documentation and ways of working

• Coach your colleague engineers and new joiners and share best practices in software development with the engineering community.

We'd Love To Meet You If

• You have at least 4 years of recent industry experience as a software engineer with production grade experience with frontend and backend technologies (both), preferably in React and Golang, coupled with excellent general software engineering skills. 

• You have a deep understanding of microservice architecture, REST services and API design. Experience in software and API design and proficiency with Git are a must.

• You have extensive hands-on experience in developing and maintaining scalable and testable code and follow best industry practices.

• Demonstrated strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial & analytical thinking add to your excellent communication skills (fluent in written & spoken English is a must) and willingness to share knowledge within and outside the team.

• Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems and building and/or running large-scale applications is a plus.

• Strong AWS knowledge and/or Kubernetes experience is a plus.

• Interest and experience in at least one further technology stack is a plus.
