- Setting a vision for how technology will be used in IEDC initiatives.
- Outline the goals for research and development.
- Acting as a mentor to team members.
- Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
- Initiate peer learning groups.
- Student side decision maker regarding funding of projects.

    - Maintain all financial records.
    - Prepare an annual budget for inclusion in the Student Branch Annual Plan.
