For the majority of the period I was the sole tester. Due to the amounting testing that was required, I developed a fully automated test system that helped to ensure the engine was tested properly.

Stratigic DevOps Implementation Lead (Consultant)

Responsible for the creation of the global test strategy, test plan and schedule for Integration Testing on the 'train' based programs at Sophos. 

Coordinated the planning and execution of the testing, including the leading of up to 15 test engineers. Worked closely with global engineering feature teams to help with their integration onto the trains/programs. Successfully delivered solid, well integrated software packages into system test on all occasions.

Integration Test Lead (Senior Test Engineer)

- Line management of 13 test engineers, including all individual development reviews, salary reviews and 1:1s.
- QA ownership (incl. Performance, Scalability, Functional, Integration and Co-Existence) for a range of Sophos assets.
- Coaching of individuals around various subjects, including technical issues, conflict resolution and communication.

- Designed, implemented and trained the whole QA dept on several significant modifications to Quality Center 10.

QA Manager

Responsible for the monthly maintenance testing of the core anti-virus component and virus data. This included planning for all defect testing, new feature testing, performance and virus detection testing. 

Worked closely with the development team and SophosLabs, to ensure that all risks were being mitigated by the planned testing. 

In my time in this role I implemented many process, automation and testing improvements to make the monthly testing as efficient and reliable as possible.

Maintenance Program Test Lead (Senior Test Engineer)

- DevOps Team Management: Created, led and managed a DevOps team of eleven members, pioneering the global implementation and oversight of multiple new processes and tooling to enhance software development. Responsible for software build and testing platforms supporting hundreds of engineers from 2018 to 2020.

- Test Automation Platform Development: Designed and led a team in creating and deploying a scalable and flexible Test Automation Platform hosted on AWS, based on Python, and utilising pyTest & Robot Framework, all configured as code.

- Continuous Integration Transformation: Drove the shift towards continuous integration for all software builds by designing and architecting a model-based CI (Build & Test) platform for all Sophos Endpoint products.
