When I am practicing my fundamentals or not building a project, maybe getting started to use a new library or technology, what I first need is gaining a deeper understanding of the subject matter or algorithm. In that case, AI hinders my voracious need and desire to search and research on my own through various resources, or the autocomplete suggestions conflict with my developing intuition and critical thinking abilities.

In those kinds of situations I refrain from using AI. We humans are supposed to be thinking minds. Not mindless monsters.
