Created an automated system to injest Design requests, form a backlog, and distribute work based in weekly sprints.

In 2015, I shifted my attention towards the Cannabis industry and accepted a position as Creative Director of UX/UI at Weedmaps, the industries largest tech company. In one year I reformed the company’s UX department, addressing specific shortcomings and scalability. At the same time, I worked with many teams to convert the Product Design process from waterfall to agile, focusing on getting Designers closer to the means of production. Additionally, I evangelized a unique process based on Research, Brainstorming, Prototyping, and Validation to ensure we were focusing on designing for the user above all else. 

In 2016 Weedmaps was nominated for a Crunchie, “The Oscars for Startups”, in the ‘Best App’ category alongside Pokemon Go. The same year, Weedmaps was also nominated for a Cannabist Tech award.

In 2014 I was promoted to Creative Director of our newly formed PROPAGANDA division. The position brought new challenges including managing a team of multi-faceted creative professionals responsible for all of RED Digital Cinema's branding, UI, Packaging, Books (both educational and advertorial), and our smash hit video series RED BTS and RED Collective.

In 2015 it became clear that our video team was blossoming into a real tour-de-force. I made the decision to separate the video team out into their own entity because I recognized their talent and ambition was quickly outpacing my experience with their medium. The rectify this, we moved the Video Team to RED STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD so that they can continue to grow and flourish in a true life film environment.

I developed apps for iOS devices using Phonegap, HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript. I participated in brand ideation sessions, provided feedback, designed takeover advertising for multimillion dollar brands, and worked closely with an industry leading sports nutrition company on everything from banner ads to App development.

Matter can only be described as a magical workshop where design, art, and good ideas reign supreme. In addition to servicing clients needs on the web and in print (using printing presses from the 1800s), MATTER principle Rick Griffith is a thought leader in the truest sense working tirelessly to push the agenda of an enlightened world through smart art.

Challenged the RED web design conventions with an unconventional but still on-brand layout. I introduced new typographic elements, a new layout as well as helped push for more life-style themed photographic imagery. 

Educational Program

Worked closely with copy and photography to unite the marketing message through metaphor; higher tech specs are great but the goal was to portray the camera as the revolutionary product it is rather than just brag about the tech specs.
