View Project
Hey folks 👋
Excited to share a tool I built out of a personal frustration — it’s called WebSight, a free and open-source web analytics platform for developers and indie hackers.
A few months back, I was monitoring one of my other projects — Imagine AI — when I ran into a familiar pain:
“Vercel Analytics monthly quota exceeded.”
I didn’t want to upgrade just to view basic metrics, and alternatives like Plausible or GA either felt too expensive or too bloated for what I needed. All I really wanted was:
Real-time insights
Custom event tracking
A clean UI
Something I could tweak myself
So I did what any frustrated dev would do — built my own.
WebSight is a developer-first, no-frills web analytics tool that gives you full control over your site’s performance data — without limits, subscriptions, or tracking headaches.
It comes with:
📊 Real-time analytics & interactive charts
🌍 Region-based user tracking (map view!)
🧩 Custom event tracking
📄 One-click PDF reports
💡 Clean, responsive UI
🛠️ Simple setup & clear docs
💯 Totally free and open-source
This isn’t a polished startup pitch. It’s just something I genuinely needed, so I built it.
If you're tired of hitting usage limits or just want a lightweight, flexible analytics setup — maybe WebSight can help you too.
