My technical services have included evaluation of data centre designs for an IT centralization project, implementation of Telephony Exchange to connect five sites, router and firewall work, and a VPN during COVID-19 for one client.
I have also developed multiple projects for a healthcare provider, including a datacenter (two servers, network switch, core router, and a UPS data center), an IP camera security surveillance system with streaming video, an intercom system with a local exchange for internet and phone communication, and video calling for telehealth.

In this role I designed and developed a client server based Human Resource Management Software for assigning tasks to people in the cooperative based on their task preference, schedules and seniority. This reduced task assignment time significantly and led to higher morale as the matching algorithm picked the optimal tasks.

Codex was a US-based software product firm that has pivoted to an enterprise solution provider. I joined their Karachi office with responsibilities that include business development, demos, requirements gathering, hiring and mentoring new team members, establishing internal IT infrastructure, and execution of client projects. 

Internal projects:
• Researched and developed multi-region, scalable, and highly available solutions on on-premise data centre as well as managing AWS deployments. 

• Led design, procurement, and implementation of Codex’s initial computing, networking and micro data centre infrastructure. Saved over 60% on IT infrastructure costs by repairing and deploying used imported hardware.

In this role I worked on a Chrome extension that imported data from Excel to Asana.

The Embedded Systems and Research Lab at National University of Science and Technology is an R&D facility. I developed a prototype of an audio/video communication platform that received PKR 28MM project funding from the Pakistan Navy, which led to creation of a new lab to house the project and other networking, IoT, and cybersecurity research. I led establishment of the lab including hiring of staff, design of the lab environment (networks, data centre, etc.), and procurement. I also managed HR including onboarding, compensation, and assessments. 

In addition to my involvement with the project for the Navy, I evaluated 13 startup prototypes as a judge for NUST Entrepreneurship Show 2019 and mentored grad students in technology (IoT, AI, security) and supervised student project for facial emotion detection.

At NUST collaborated with graduate student in implementation of a Biomedical Image Compression Algorithm and worked with a mix of undergrad and grad students to reproduce MIMO LTE on FGPA.

In this position I designed and developed a new Library and Stationary Database system.

In this role I provided design, development, implementation, and management of corporate website. We implemented SEO and analytics techniques to dramatically increase search visibility which increased web-based demand by 200%.
