Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur, is the largest student-run non-profit organisation, which works with the aim of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. With 200+ successful startups incubated from IIT Kharagpur in less than 15 years since our inception, we aim to provide students with all the support they require for starting up, training, mentorship, incubation, patenting, and funding. The ultimate mission is to inspire an increasing number of students to startup on their own and to promote such ventures, widely through events, workshops, and competitions. Project Description: 1. Unified User Experience: The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur registration portal demonstrates a seamless and unified user experience by integrating three distinct initiatives – Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD), Local Startups Meet (LSM), and Empresario. The implementation allows users to register for any of these initiatives with a single set of credentials, fostering a cohesive and user-friendly environment. 2. Scalable and Extensible Architecture: Built on the Django framework, the registration portal boasts a robust and scalable architecture. The portal efficiently manages a single user base while extending user profiles based on the specific initiative they register for. This scalable design ensures the portal can easily accommodate future initiatives or enhancements without compromising performance. 3. Responsive and Accessible Frontend: The frontend of the registration portal, developed using plain HTML, CSS, and JS, reflects a commitment to user accessibility and responsiveness. The portal is designed to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience across various devices and screen sizes. This responsiveness enhances user engagement by allowing participants to access the portal on desktops, tablets, or smartphones.
