Facade Code is a free, open-source (MIT) IDE built on VS Code for running many projects and AI coding agents at once: no chat box bolted on, and no terminal wrapper around one vendor's CLI.
Workspace bar: every project and its git worktrees in one column, one worktree per feature. Click one and the whole window (explorer, editors, terminals, source control) switches to it, exactly as you left it.
Agents and terminals are first-class editor items: open Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or Muse Code in the folder it should work in, and see which folder runs which agent.
A tech lead agent runs designer, engineer and QA agents.
Agents from different vendors start, stop, check on and message each other. Different vendors bring different perspectives, which one model playing every role can't.
It all runs over standard terminals and MCP.
Everything else is VS Code: your extensions (from Open VSX), settings and keybindings. Available for macOS, Windows and Ubuntu. Early stage, and feedback is very welcome.
