Led software development, co-managed the team, and worked with San Diego MTS to design a subtle, modernized approach to notifying transit security when in a dangerous situation using near-field communication. Using near-field communication, passengers may tap their devices to subtle safety stickers on-board - launching an iOS App Clip (or Android progressive web-application) that enables notifying transit security and/or emergency services with train number, seat and row number, location, and other pertinent information in just a tap.
This project won second-place in the international Jacobs Engineering Challenge and was a State Finalist in California in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition.
