From an experiment to 614 active learners—lessons learned while building Edulavo in public.
Hey Peerlist community! 👋
I wanted to share some raw data and a milestone from my recent project, Edulavo. In just 3 weeks, we’ve crossed 614 active users testing and mastering new skills through AI-curated mastery.
The Problem with Passive Learning 🧠 Most online learners are tired of static 40-hour video playlists. We launched Edulavo as an experiment to see if developers actually wanted structured, adaptive courses that fill specific knowledge gaps rather than generic content.
The Real Data so far:
614 Active Users: Growing entirely organically across dev communities and word of mouth.
Global Reach: Organic traction across Bangladesh (53%), the United States (19%), Rwanda, India, and Germany.
Engagement: Seeing high interest in specialized tracks like Mastering GitHub and DevOps Engineering.
How we manage growth: We built a custom dashboard to review and manage Course Share Requests. It allows our small team to:
Review community-submitted courses.
Track total requests and accept/reject them with a single click to maintain quality.
Ensure every course meets our "enterprise-grade" standard before going live.
What's next? Scaling from 600 to 6,000 without losing the personalized feel is our next challenge. We are focusing on improving our AI logic to make learning even more "adaptive."
I’d love to hear your thoughts: For those building in public, what were your biggest hurdles after hitting your first 500 users? Let’s discuss!
