amily life today is often managed across too many disconnected tools. Calendars live in one app, tasks in another, school messages somewhere else, and meal planning usually ends up scattered across notes or chat messages.
Instead of simplifying life, digital tools often create more noise.
I started building Zenframe to explore a calmer way to organize family life. The goal is simple: bring the most important parts of everyday planning into one place so families can stay aligned without juggling multiple apps.
Zenframe combines several core elements of family planning into a single system:
shared family calendars
tasks and routines
meal planning
a clear overview of daily activities
The design philosophy is inspired by Nordic design principles — focusing on simplicity, clarity, and reducing digital clutter rather than adding more complexity.
Zenframe is currently built using a modern web stack designed for flexibility and fast iteration:
React
Progressive Web App (PWA) architecture
Vercel for hosting
Cloudflare for networking and security
Stripe for payments
This setup allows the platform to work across phones, tablets, and other devices without requiring native apps.
One concept I'm particularly interested in is the idea of a shared home display.
Most productivity tools live only on personal devices, but family coordination often happens in shared spaces like kitchens or hallways. A dedicated household display could make daily plans visible for everyone — including children who don't yet use smartphones.
Zenframe is currently being developed as an independent project. Building in public has been a great way to refine ideas and learn from feedback from other builders.
