Shareden is a real-time platform designed to ease shared living for roommates by bringing chats, complex recurring tasks, expenses, polls into one place.

💡How I got the idea -

During college, I used to live with four roommates in Bangalore. Five people sharing groceries, chores, bed, expenses. Either one person would end up doing most of the work, or we'd decide to take turns by mentioning in whatsapp chat, which never really worked. After a while, nobody remembered whose turn it was for what task.

Expenses were slightly easier since we could use Google Pay or Splitwise, but that came with its own problem - everyone had to install and use the same app. Not everyone wanted another app on their phone, so we'd eventually end up back on WhatsApp manually calculating and keeping track of expenses.

That's how I came up with Shareden - a real-time platform for shared living. Want to rotate a task between 3 people every monday, wed and fri - just create it once and get all the details on single click of a date in calendar. That's just one of the many features - polls, chat, expenses.
