MedicalQ is a Quora + Reddit-style healthcare blog and Q&A platform built to promote trusted, community-driven medical guidance. Users can ask health-related questions or write blogs, and verified doctors respond with accurate, structured, and easy-to-understand answers. With real-time symptom-based search, filtering by doctor responses, and health-topic communities (like Cancer, Mental Health, COVID-19), the platform enables people to explore reliable health information in a familiar social format. What sets MedicalQ apart is its 100% real doctor verification system. Doctors must upload government ID, medical license, and degree, which are reviewed manually via an admin panel with NMC/MCI registry checks. Only verified doctors are allowed to post medical responses, and their answers are marked with a "✅ Doctor Verified" badge to ensure trust. We've also added innovative features like AI-powered pre-answers with disclaimers, anonymous question mode, and emergency red flag alerts for critical symptoms. Built in just a week during the Code For Bharat Season 2.0 Hackathon, the platform uses React + Tailwind on the frontend and Node.js + Firebase on the backend. From doctor video replies to auto-misinformation filters, every feature was designed to prioritize safety, reliability, and accessibility. MedicalQ is more than a project—it’s a step toward accessible, community-powered healthcare.
