About WHY

WHY is a browser extension designed for Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, Brave, and Edge. It aims to enhance digital wellbeing by introducing a mindful pause before you visit websites you frequently access. Upon encountering a site, WHY will pause your navigation and prompt you with a single, honest question related to your intent. The extension then keeps a private, local journal of your answers, helping you reflect on your browsing habits and promote more intentional online behavior.

• Core Functionality: Pauses navigation before autopilot website visits.
• Mindful Prompting: Asks a single, honest question to encourage reflection.
• Private Journaling: Keeps a local, private record of your answers.
• Browser Compatibility: Works with Chromium-based browsers.
• Focus: Promotes digital wellbeing and intentional browsing.
