WordToShare is a free blogging platform for writers and curious readers. Every story is free to read in full: there is no paywall, no member-only content and no limit on how many stories a reader can open.

For writers, there is nothing to set up: no hosting, themes or plugins. Write in a clean editor, pick a topic and publish. New writers get readers from day one through the "New voices" section on the home page, so you don't need followers to be seen.

Moving from Medium is simple. Paste the link to a Medium story and WordToShare imports the text and images, keeping the original URL as the canonical link so search engines don't see duplicate content. You own your writing and can export any story as Markdown or HTML at any time.

Readers can reply to a specific line of a story, see which passages other readers highlighted, listen to any story, and change the font and text size. Every story in the feed says why it is there: a writer you follow or a topic you chose.
