During a multi-year recovery from long covid that started in 2021, I learned to read science papers - there was so much valuable research buried in jargon. OpenScience.ink grew out of that: a way to make real biomedical research easier for non-scientists to follow.
Each morning, OpenScience.ink scans PubMed across 8 topics, creates a modern PubMed-style page for each paper with AI-simplified abstracts, source links, journal signals, and full text when copyright allows.
Every Monday, subscribers get a free weekly email with 7 recent peer-reviewed studies in their chosen topic. The goal is simple: medical research news without jargon or clickbait, with PubMed, DOI, journal, and open-access links tied to each paper.
Current topics include:
So far, OpenScience.ink has indexed and AI-simplified 95,000+ research papers and sent 347 weekly issues across the 8 topics. I’m hoping to make it a calm research companion for curious readers, clinicians, medical students, researchers, and science writers.
