Reading is most important mental exercise
Hello Reader,
I used to read a lot and have read many science fiction books. These books have helped shape me and my dreams. They have also helped me prioritize things in life and understand what should be done at different stages.
After reading a book—or even just a chapter—you naturally feel a sense of accomplishment, as if you’ve done something meaningful. Also, if you spend an hour reading, the day feels more stable, calm, and productive.
Since some books take several days to finish, completing a few chapters each day already feels like an achievement. In the early days of startup, reading also helped me to make better decisions. As a founder, it helped to minimize mistakes, stay aligned with the vision, and take the bold steps needed to achieve it.
Reading has helped me develop the discipline of checking items off my to-do list. However, running the errands for the startup has kept reading at bay.
Nowadays, I find it hard to make time for it. In reality, there is time, but I get caught up planning the next tasks, and hours slip away in distractions. As a result, reading has taken a back seat—and I miss it a lot.
But today, all of a sudden, I remembered reading, and I felt like sharing this with all of you. I’m also planning to start reading again, though not decided yet which book to begin with. Any book will be great. Reading plays a big part in life.
thanks,
Abhijeet
