Role overview

We are in search of a talented and motivated Senior Product Designer to join our expanding Design team. You will play a vital role in transforming and scaling our product, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional user experiences. At CAST AI, we work in a flat structure that encourages open communication and collaboration across all levels. Given our cross-team structure, you will be working with top-tier professionals and have the opportunity to shape different modules and components of our product. In this position, you’ll:

• Identify new product improvement opportunities, define user problems, and develop effective solutions to address them

• Address complex technical design challenges within the product

• Support the development process

• Conduct research activities like discovery sessions and usability studies to prototype and iterate on design solutions

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding agilely to evolving project requirements and tight deadlines

• Develop user personas and journey maps based on research findings and data insights

• Contribute to the design process and actively participate in developing and maintaining our design system

• Write comprehensive documents to describe the vision and implementation details

• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, product, and sales teams to bring designs to life

• Provide and seek feedback from fellow designers and cross-functional team members to foster continuous improvement

• Continuously learn and stay updated with industry standards and best practices to enhance design expertise.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in product design

• A portfolio or case study showcasing design work for SaaS platforms, data visualization tools, or similar data-heavy applications

• Ability to understand and interpret API documentation and effectively design interfaces that can interact with backend systems

• Comfortable working alongside developers and can articulate design concepts and decisions in a language that is clear to technical stakeholders

• Proven experience across all design phases, including conducting user research, creating wireframes, developing prototypes, crafting visual designs, and conducting usability testing

• Some experience in developing and maintaining design systems

• Understanding of technical capabilities, workflows, and constraints

• A portfolio or case study showcasing a consistent track record of delivering high-quality work within fast-paced environments

• Collaborative nature, enjoying teamwork and actively participating in collaborative ideation sessions with colleagues and partners

• Expertise in popular design tools such as Figma (or Sketch, Adobe XD, and other design tools)

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
