Summary:

Join Dolby as a Software Engineering Intern and enhance the Dolby Atmos Album Assembler application. You'll work to implement new features, fix bugs, and ensure top-quality code through unit and manual testing. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enabling the future of immersive audio experience.

Responsibilities:

This position requires good knowledge of C++ and python to be able to contribute improvements to Dolby Atmos Album Assembler application.

The main job responsibilities will include working in Apple MacOS development environment with modern C++/C IDE, understanding feature requirements and bug specifications, reading, and understanding of existing code, following instructions to implement the required changes, writing unit test, and performing manual tests to validate written code.

Qualifications:

  • Able to intern full-time for three consecutive months or more every five days.

  • Proficiency with C++ and Object-Oriented Design

  • Experience with CMake, Conan is a plus

  • Comfortable using Apple MacOS and a modern C++ IDE (such as CLion or VS Code)

  • Understanding or experience with Agile development process (Scrum) is a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand python and pytest is a plus.

  • Possess knowledge of audio and prioritize understanding concepts such as frequency and sampling rate.

ELIGIBILITY

Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or demonstrates equivalent experience; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply.

Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 3 months between September 2024 – December 2024.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $45-55/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
