Sr. DevOps / SRE Engineer

Our low code approach and user friendly documentation means you are ready to go live with less lines of code. Dyte also offers plugins that allows developers to build and deploy realtime applications like whiteboard, youtube player and AI applications such as background changer and live audio transcription within their video calls with couple of lines of code.

About the Role:

Always ready with a Plan C, because Plan A and B didn't work? We are looking for you! As DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers we need top notch builders, who get a rush from creating things from scratch and care very deeply about how complex systems interact. If troubleshooting is in your blood, don't be in a ‘'fix' anymore and apply right away!

You will work closely with the founders to build the infrastructure that powers Dyte’s web and mobile SDKs. As in any startup, your responsibilities will vary frequently. You will wear multiple hats and work with many different technologies. You would be required to come up with unthinkable use cases for our products and get a rush from the sheer volume of users that tear the use cases apart.

What you'll do:

- Own code deployment pipelines, infrastructure configuration, and monitoring.

- Build configurable and highly fault tolerant auto-scaling pipelines.

- Work on availability and latency of APIs, change management, emergency response, and capacity management of services in production.

- Improve vertical scalability, specifically in terms of video infrastructure.

- Enhance horizontal scalability, that is, scalable across multiple geographical regions.

- Achieve and maintain high-quality service delivery with real-time and precise call quality monitoring by partnering with all engineering teams.

- Define and uphold site reliability using service-level indicators and objectives.

Who you are:

- Should have at least 3+ years of DevOps and/or SRE experience.

- Should have experience operating large-scale systems and making them fault tolerant and scalable

- Strong background in using automation (CI/CD) frameworks, such as Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI etc.

- Strong experience with leading cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure etc.

- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform.

- Experience with maintaining and monitoring databases.

- Have worked with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana.

It's great if you have:

- Do not hesitate to write a bit of code in NodeJS/Typescript/Golang.

- Knowledge and experience with WebRTC.

- Prior experience working at a startup.
