The Role

We’re looking for a Core Contributor to help build and scale the analytics engine behind GhostlyX.

You’ll be working on real-world problems around tracking, performance, and data processing, helping us deliver reliable analytics without collecting personal data. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on product direction and architecture from an early stage.

What You’ll Work On

• Optimising the client-side tracking script for speed and reliability

• Handling SPA navigation and modern frontend frameworks

• Designing and improving event ingestion pipelines

• Building systems for accurate, real-time analytics

• Developing and refining bot and crawler filtering

• Contributing to SDKs and developer tooling

Must-Have Skills

• Strong JavaScript, especially in browser environments

• Deep understanding of DOM and Web APIs

• Experience handling SPA routing and tracking challenges

• Performance-first mindset (low overhead, non-blocking scripts)

• Solid understanding of HTTP, networking, and data flow

• Strong debugging skills across browsers and environments

• Clean, maintainable coding style with minimal bloat

Nice to Have

• Experience working on analytics or tracking systems

• Familiarity with bot detection or filtering techniques

• Backend experience (Node, PHP, or similar)

• Understanding of privacy-first architecture (no PII, data minimisation)

• Experience building SDKs or developer-focused tools
