HendrenAI builds voice automation, AI agents, and large language model solutions purpose-built for the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform automates inbound and outbound workflows across pharmacy operations, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing, with deep integrations into pharmacy management systems (Liberty/RedSail) and leading EHR platforms (Epic, athenahealth). We operate on HIPAA-, SOC 2-, and HITECH-compliant infrastructure, and we serve pharmacies, health systems, and pharmaceutical companies.

Role Overview

• The Junior Engineer is a developing contributor who takes on increasingly independent work.

• You’ll ownwell-scoped features end-to-end, write reliable and tested code, and grow toward full independence with regular guidance from senior engineers on larger or more complex efforts.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver well-scoped features from implementation through testing and deployment

• Write clean, maintainable, and tested code with growing independence

• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive feedback

• Debug and resolve issues across the stack, escalating complex problems appropriately

• Contribute to technical design discussions for features you own

• Collaborate with product and other engineers to refine requirements and estimate work

• Work within HendrenAI’s integration and compliance frameworks (Epic, athenahealth, Liberty/RedSail; HIPAA, SOC 2, HITECH)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience

• Solid proficiency in at least one programming language and an associated framework

• Experience with version control, testing, and collaborative development workflows

• Ability to take a well-scoped feature from requirements to production with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working with relational/NoSQL databases

• Exposure to AI/ML, voice technology, or healthcare software
