The Mac Calendar Google never built.

Hora started with a simple frustration: despite living inside Google Calendar every day, the experience on macOS never felt truly native, fast or enjoyable.
Most calendar apps were either too cluttered, too corporate or disconnected from the way Mac users actually work. We wanted something cleaner, faster and more focused — a calendar that feels like a real macOS app instead of a web app wrapped in Electron.
So we started building Hora.
Hora is a native calendar app for macOS designed for people who rely heavily on Google Calendar but expect a better experience. It combines a polished Apple-like interface with productivity-focused workflows, widgets, reminders and keyboard-first interactions that help reduce friction throughout the day.
The goal was never to build “just another calendar app.” We wanted to create the Mac calendar Google never built — something lightweight, beautiful and genuinely pleasant to use every single day.
