Full Stack Engineer [Front End]

Overview:

You will report to the Director of DMD. You are expected to work in a staggered shift to provide overlap of at least 4 hours with the US EST time zone. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Engineer to join our team, specializing in organization-wide data architecture and custom built applications to address analytics needs within our organization's diverse business units. The successful candidate will build, manage, and optimize a suite of applications that powers business business critical decision making and enable access to key business metrics. This role is critical in ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and actionable, enabling decision-making across the entire organization.

Working as part of the Data, Models, and Decisions (DMD) team, the successful candidate has an opportunity to join an innovative data science and engineering team that’s operationalizing data across the organization. We see model-driven processes and workflows as a means to reduce uncertainty, reveal opportunity, and generate operational leverage that collectively create a new dimension of competitive advantage and lay the foundation for new revenue streams. 

In this role you will:

• Build and maintain scalable web applications with full ownership of managing the frontend (interactive and reactive UI) as well as backend layers of Microservices

• Develop with web frameworks such as Node.js, React, and NestJS

• Monitor, test, and continuously optimize designs

• Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data flows, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and stability.

• Collaborate and interact with multiple engineering and stakeholders for the end-to-end implementation of new tools and applications.

 Your qualifications are:

• 3+ years of experience in development with web frameworks for interactive and reactive UI.

• 2+ years of experience in development with Microservices, RESTful API, backend systems

• 2+ years of experience in public cloud and a deep understanding of serverless application design

• Proficient in React components, JavaScript, and TypeScript

• Mastered system design using Microservice architecture and successfully utilized relational SQL and NoSQL databases

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field.

• Strong track record in designing systems for scalability, performance, and reliability

• Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
