The Experience

This Software Engineering Intern role is part of Salesforce's Future Pathways program, hosted in partnership with Ada Developers Academy. You'll join a Salesforce engineering team for a 5-month internship, contributing to real projects alongside full-time engineers and receiving mentorship and professional development support throughout your journey.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Contribute to software engineering projects on a Salesforce product team, building and testing features in a real production environment

  • Collaborate with your manager, technical mentor, and teammates through daily standups, code reviews, and pair programming sessions

  • Participate in the Future Pathways professional development program, including biweekly development sessions, small group sessions, and industry mentor meetings

  • Present the impact of your work at the end of your internship to Salesforce stakeholders

You're Our Person If...

You have completed or are completing the Ada Developers Academy software development curriculum (or are referred through the Ada Developers Academy internship program)

  • You have foundational experience writing code in Python and are comfortable working in a collaborative development environment

  • You are eager to learn, ask questions, and bring your whole self to a hybrid work environment

  • You are committed to the 5-month internship (approximately 35 hours per week), with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office

Even Better If...

  • You have exposure to web development frameworks or version control tools like Github

  • You have prior experience working on a team project, open source contribution, or personal portfolio

  • You are familiar with Agile or Scrum methodologies

Future Pathways is Salesforce's internship and apprenticeship program dedicated to creating careers for talented professionals from alternative education pathways — no four-year degree required. Through strategic partnerships with workforce development nonprofits committed to closing the opportunity and tech skills gaps, the program creates meaningful pathways into technology careers for adult learners.

The typical base salary range for this position is $22 - $23 per hour.

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
