AI Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting

Description

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent systems for global clients. This role focuses on developing production-grade AI solutions using modern AI frameworks, including generative AI, LLM-based systems, and agentic AI architectures.

You will work on building scalable AI services, integrating AI models into applications, and developing end-to-end AI pipelines including RAG and multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using LLMs and modern AI frameworks

• Build and optimize RAG pipelines for enterprise use cases

• Develop agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration

• Implement basic retrieval evaluation: relevance scoring, top-k result quality, and pipeline latency benchmarking

• Build tool-use integrations for AI agents: REST API connectors, database query tools, file system tools, and enterprise system adapters

• Write and maintain agent evaluation test suites: unit tests for tool calls, integration tests for agent workflows, and regression tests against eval datasets

• Integrate AI models with APIs, backend systems, and enterprise applications

• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation

• Develop REST APIs and microservices for AI applications

• Deploy models on cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions for global customers

• Develop and maintain AI application layers: chat interfaces, document processing pipelines, semantic search, and AI-assisted workflow automation

• Implement multi-agent orchestration using (Anyone) LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel — implement the right pattern (ReAct, self-reflection, hierarchical delegation, plan-and-execute) per use case

• Investigate and resolve production incidents in AI systems: trace agent call chains, identify failure modes, and implement fixes

• Implement and maintain PII detection and redaction controls within AI pipelines

• Monitor model performance and improve system efficiency

Must Have Skills

• 3–4 years of experience in AI/ML or AI engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Strong understanding of AI/LLM-based application development

• Hands-on experience with LLMs: GPT, Gemini, Claude

• Experience in Agentic AI systems

  • LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI

• Experience in RAG pipelines and embeddings

• Strong knowledge of NLP techniques

  • Sentiment Analysis, Topic Modeling, Q&A Chatbots, Text Classification

• Experience building APIs and web apps

  • Flask, FastAPI, Streamlit

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience with databases

  • PostgreSQL, Snowflake

• Hands-on experience with Vector Databases

  • Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS

• Experience with at least one cloud platform

  • AWS / Azure / GCP

• Understanding of model deployment and monitoring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field 

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow)

• Strong foundation in Machine Learning & Data Science

  • scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy

• Experience in Deep Learning frameworks

  • TensorFlow, PyTorch

• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of microservices architecture

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks

• Understanding of Responsible AI principles
