We are seeking a .NET Lead – Payments to drive the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical payment systems. This role combines hands-on technical leadership, architectural ownership, and team mentoring, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions.
You will work closely with product, architecture, compliance, QA, and DevOps teams to build resilient payment services that operate at scale.
Technical Leadership
Lead the end-to-end development of payment processing systems using the .NET stack
Own system architecture and technical design for payment services and APIs
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance for transaction-heavy systems
Drive adoption of best practices (SOLID, clean architecture, domain-driven design)
Payments & Domain Ownership
Design and implement payment workflows, settlements, reconciliations, and exception handling
Handle high-volume, low-latency transaction processing
Ensure idempotency, retries, and transactional consistency
Collaborate with business teams on payments rules, validations, and edge cases
Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and internal security standards
Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, role-based access)
Partner with security team. s on audits, vulnerability remediation, and data protection
Lead and mentor a team of senior and mid-level engineers
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery commitments
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, SRE, and Compliance
Required Technical Skills
Core Technologies : Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+
ASP.NET Core Web APIs & Microservices RESTful services and event-driven architectures
Strong SQL Server experience (complex queries, performance tuning)
Experience with financial transactions and data consistency
Knowledge of reconciliation and reporting systems
Cloud & DevOps
Azure ecosystem (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault)
CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
Experience with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
Architecture & Patterns
Microservices architecture
Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Messaging & eventing (Service Bus, Kafka, or equivalent)
Caching strategies (Redis)
