The ECSS organization has published standard ECSS-E-ST-70-32C that describes the requirements of such automation scripts and specifies the PLUTO language, a domain specific programming language for spacecraft operations. However, the highly technical nature of automation scripts often renders them hard to comprehend for human operators, who typically expect procedures to contain flowcharts and visually enhanced step-by-step instructions, to support understanding. We therefore propose the development of a software tool, which takes as input PLUTO scripts (as for example used at ESOC) and generates from it a nicely formatted PDF file that contains: a) a descriptive cover page, b) a flowchart outlining the logic of the procedure, and c) the procedure steps formatted in familiar way to (ESOC) operators. The benefits of such tool are multifaceted. First, it enhances transparency in satellite operations by demystifying the underlying automated processes. Second, it aids in training new personnel to write automation procedures. Third, it supports auditing and review processes.
