Whisperly is a macOS menu-bar app that turns speech into text you can send. Press a hotkey, talk, and the result lands at your cursor in whatever app you were already using. In Clean-up mode the filler words, false starts and repetitions are gone and the punctuation is right, while the wording stays yours.

• Clean-up mode: removes filler words, false starts and repetitions and fixes punctuation, without rewriting how you phrase things.

• Raw mode: what you said, verbatim, with no cleanup pass over it. This is the default, so switch to Clean-up in the panel to see the cleanup.

• Translate (Pro): dictate in about 99 auto-detected languages and get the result in one of 92 target languages.

• Tones (Pro): Original keeps your own wording and register and is the default on every plan. Neutral, Casual and Formal are available on Pro, in Clean-up and Translate.

• Custom vocabulary: teach it names, brands and jargon so they come out spelled the way you write them, including cross-script cases. Five terms on the free plan, unlimited on Pro.

Works in any app with a text field. When Whisperly cannot confirm the text landed, it puts the result on your clipboard and tells you so.

Privacy: audio travels over HTTPS, gets transcribed and cleaned, and is discarded. It is never written to a file or a database, there is no dictation history, and we do not use your dictations to train any model, ours or anyone else's.

Distribution: direct download, outside the Mac App Store. Signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. Updates download in the background and install when you confirm.
