Trust Me Bro (trustmebro.to) checks one claim against published research and publishes a public receipt.
You give it a claim. It searches for evidence that supports the claim and for evidence that contradicts it, then writes a receipt: the exact claim, a verdict, sources on each side with quoted excerpts, a short summary, and the limits of the check. Most sources are academic papers with a DOI.
Each receipt is a public page you can share, cite, or embed as a badge. Other tools: a word-for-word quote check and a retraction checker (enter a DOI, read the OpenAlex retraction record). There is also a Chrome extension, a verification API, and an MCP server. Free plan: 5 checks a month, no card.
Honest limits: software assigns the verdicts, not human fact-checkers. Trust Me Bro is not an IFCN signatory. Coverage is limited. It is not for breaking news, photos or video. A citation does not prove that a source supports a claim. Read the excerpts and open the papers.
