What’s New is a social network for keeping up with family, friends and the place you live.

Family and friends share in invite-only Circles. Local news, businesses and artists have a separate public side, so checking in with your people doesn’t mean scrolling past a feed full of strangers.

People who want to move from Facebook can bring supported posts, photos and videos with them. Imported memories stay private while you review them and choose what to share. Artists can create Star profiles, present work in Open Studios and choose Art Shield protections for supported artwork.

Built by Jordan Ellefson in Flandreau, South Dakota. The web app is available now, with a public iPhone/iPad TestFlight beta and English and Spanish support. It’s early, and I’m looking for people to help shape it. Accounts are for adults 18 and older.
