-- EN -- Multimodal affect analysis using hierarchical fusion modelling is a project developed for the Master's thesis at the PHuSe Lab of the University of Milan (academic year 2020-2021). It presents a method based on neural networks that deal with Sentiment Analysis, a branch of the Affective Computing field. The main novelty of the thesis is the proposal of a hierarchical multimodal fusion that makes it possible to start from unimodal features coming from the four considered modalities up to a quadrimodal fusion. The modalities considered are text, i.e. the transcription of speech; audio, i.e. the speech itself; video, from which the facial expressions represented in each frame are derived; and physiological signals, such as the electrocardiogram and electrodermal activity. Whereas, the two affective dimensions considered are Valence and Arousal.
