FlashFX Alpha is an open source motion graphics editor designed to drastically reduce the time required to create 2D animations for video. The project focuses on a fast, canvas first workflow that replaces traditional heavy timelines with direct manipulation, smart shortcuts, and parametric animations. FlashFX supports animated geometric elements such as shapes and text, with real time preview and smooth performance even on complex scenes. I developed FlashFX as a full product, handling software architecture, animation logic, rendering, and user experience design. The core challenge was building an animation system that remains flexible and expressive while staying minimal and responsive. The alpha version already handles dozens of animated layers simultaneously, hundreds of keyframes per project, and maintains fluid 60 FPS previews in standard use cases. FlashFX is designed as a foundation for scalable motion graphics creation, with future support for video export, presets, templates, and advanced automation. The open source alpha demonstrates both technical depth and product thinking, with a strong focus on speed, clarity, and professional workflows.
