Retake gives a coding agent tools to record browser walkthroughs. Tell the agent which web app to use and what you want to show, then review the take.

Tested end to end on an Apple Silicon Mac with Claude Code.

I use it for product videos, content for X, educational demos and walkthroughs. It records a real browser. The flow stays in a file, so steps or selectors can be updated when the app changes.

Retake is MIT-licensed and runs locally. It needs Node 20+ and an initial Chromium download. You can use the CLI with an existing flow or connect an MCP-capable coding agent. Narration is optional and has separate setup requirements.

The site includes real recordings made with Retake and setup documentation. I would like people to try recording a small workflow in their own web app and tell me where they get stuck.
