It started as a GitHub repo that crossed 800+ stars and is now a website!!
I write engineering articles on X, and they kept getting buried in my timeline. I indexed them in a GitHub repo, which grew past 800 stars, and turned it into a proper learning website.
Vidya-Bodha is a free learning platform with 70+ in-depth engineering articles on system design, backend engineering, distributed systems, and microservices. It includes search, topic filters, structured learning paths, and progress tracking.
What’s inside:
30+ HLD breakdowns (YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Instagram, Amazon, Discord, and more)
LLD classics like parking lots and vending machines
Backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, caching, concurrency
A complete 9-part Distributed Systems series
A complete 6-part Microservices series
Features:
Search and filter by topic
Structured learning paths
Progress tracking, so you know what’s done and what’s next
Coming next: AI, ML, and DevOps content, and reading articles directly on the site.
“Vidya” means knowledge and “bodha” means understanding. The goal is not just reading about systems, but really understanding how they work.
