PROBLEM / OPPORTUNITY
PhotoBiz customers wanted more SEO advice from our customer service staff. However our people needed up-to-date, accurate, and easy-to-understand information on what works and doesn't in SEO.
SOLUTION
We saw an opportunity to hit two birds with one stone - we could attract new customers through publishing SEO advice, even as we provided enhanced SEO services to current customers.
As a group we:
- Wrote series of blog posts giving in-depth advice about SEO (Alex, Hashim)
- Collected blog posts into an SEO ebook and training guide (Hashim)
- Created one-page visual guide to SEO for photographers and small business owners (Chelsea, Hashim)
- Created promotional video and ad about our SEO services (Jeremy, Alex, Hashim)
- Re-purposed visual guide as "lead magnet" for video ads to build email list (Hashim)
- Conducted series of internal SEO trainings (Jennifer, Alex, Hashim)
RESULTS
- Customers used our new link building advice to rank considerably higher in Google
- Two of our SEO articles are still the most read blog posts on PhotoBiz
- One support staff member said the training was the best presentation on SEO they've seen
- The SEO ad became our second best performing ad on YouTube
- Demonstrated that PhotoBiz is a leader and expert in SEO services for photographers and small business owners
