Domainee gives SaaS teams the complete domain layer for their product: connect your users' existing custom domains through one API, or let them buy a brand-new domain without ever leaving your app. Instead of building cert management, DNS verification, edge routing, and registrar integrations in-house — and then maintaining them forever — you integrate one API and ship the same day.
Connecting domains is one CNAME away. You call POST /v1/domains with the hostname your customer wants, Domainee returns the CNAME they need to add, and the moment DNS propagates you receive a domain.verified webhook signed with HMAC. SSL certificates are issued through Let's Encrypt on the first request and renewed automatically for the life of the domain.
Selling domains is one API call. The Buy-a-Domain API handles search, purchase, and registration with your end user as the legal owner, then configures DNS and connects the domain to your app automatically. Domainee charges wholesale plus a flat $1 — you set your own markup and keep the margin. DNS, nameserver, and renewal endpoints mean your users manage everything from inside your product, never a registrar dashboard.
The API follows familiar Stripe conventions — Bearer authentication, idempotency keys, predictable JSON — and every endpoint also exists as an MCP tool. A hosted MCP server ships 11 tools out of the box, so Claude, Cursor, or any AI agent can list, create, and verify domains through the same Bearer key.
Pricing is usage-based and fully published: the first 50 domains and 100 GB of monthly bandwidth are free forever with no credit card, then $0.20 per domain per month with volume discounts down to $0.10. Built by the team behind Common Ninja, Embeddable, and Vidocu, Domainee ran in production across that portfolio for over a year before launching as a standalone product in 2026.
