The hardest project I’ve ever worked on? My personal portfolio.
It’s ironic, isn’t it? Designing for clients feels smooth—solving their challenges, crafting solutions—but when it’s my own project, the pressure skyrockets. Suddenly, every detail feels monumental.
But today, after countless sleepless nights, edits, and second-guessing, I’m thrilled to say: I just launched v5 of my portfolio for 2025!
This version isn’t just about showcasing work; it’s a reflection of growth, lessons learned, and where I’m headed as a designer. It’s not perfect (and that’s okay). What matters is that it’s out there, ready to evolve as I do.
Designing my personal portfolio has been one of the hardest projects I’ve ever tackled. Here’s why:
1️⃣ Endless Iterations: Nothing feels "good enough" when it's your own work. You’re your toughest client.
2️⃣ Overthinking Everything: Every decision—layout, colors, even font size—feels monumental.
3️⃣ The Curse of Choice: What do you include? What do you leave out? When every project feels like your “best,” editing becomes a nightmare.
4️⃣ Pressure to Impress: Your portfolio is your calling card. It’s not just about showcasing skills; it’s about telling a story, standing out, and landing the right opportunities.
Despite the challenges, this project taught me a lot:
✅ Simplicity beats perfection.
✅ Progress is better than endless tweaking.
✅ Sometimes, you just have to hit publish and evolve later.
Would love for you to check it out here and share your thoughts! Your feedback means everything. 💬
