Followers or Companions are NPCs enriching your gameplay and -experience with additional commentary and banter. Their main purpose is making the game feel more alive by giving the player someone who works with them.
The Website
The link leads to an Angular based website, that Esther White (@monacodelisa) created for showcasing Idrinth. Both dialogue and other texts for the custom voiced Follower. It's backend is a simple PHP one, processing the project's git repository, by Björn Büttner (@idrinth).

The Game: Skyrim
Skyrim is a game by Bethesda, that gives you the ability to play a role playing game in a world filled with a viking inspired people. Modders have kept adding more to it for now 13 years, making sure it's still popular.
The Character: Idrinth Thalui
Idrinth Thalui is an ancient Altmer, or high elf, follower of Trinimac, an elven Warrior-God. He favours the greatsword, but also uses Restoration and Alteration magic. Rarely he will use some Destruction magic as well.
With many years under his belt, he is not only a capable warrior and mage, but also a source of background and historical information.
Supported Languages
While the sound is purely available in english, libretranslate's AI and the help of a few translators was used to support a variety of additional languages for all texts in the mod.
This currently includes all 8 languages supported by Skyrim itself, as well as simplified chinese.
The scripts to handle these translations are open source in the idrinth-thalui organisation on github and free to use if you have any need for something similar.
Features
As a follower, Idrinth will support you in combat. His favour system also allows him to gift you useful resources once the favour is high enough. Last, but certainly not least, he adds a small new quest and custom enemies to the mix.
Besides most common follower abilities, he is also a merchant and trainer as well as a source for learning some custom spells. All of that happens with 3369 voiced lines for him and a few dozen more lines for people reacting to or interacting with him.
Next to those features, his FOMOD installer allows you to get every language supported by Skyrim as complete text replacement for all english texts in the mod. This is done with the help of AI and checked by humans where possible.
Open Source?
All of the created tooling for this project as well as a few parts are open source. The scripts and the plugin file are not open source to protect the work that went into creating the mod. The same goes for the Angular website.
Obviously all contributors are still credited in the Installer, using a fomod page to highlight their parts of the work.
