Daily Workspace turns your new tab into a personal dashboard for the way you work. It brings tasks, notes, shortcuts, and focus tools into a customizable bento layout, so opening a tab becomes a useful starting point for your day.
One place to get your bearings
Work often spreads across bookmarked pages, scattered notes, to-do lists, and tabs you meant to come back to. Daily Workspace brings those everyday essentials together in a space you already visit.
Open a new tab, see what needs your attention, capture an idea, or jump straight into a project. The desktop dashboard is designed to fit on one screen, with scrollable lists inside individual cards.
From opening a tab to getting something done
• Start with what matters. Add tasks, set due dates, and schedule daily or weekly repeats. Switch between All, Today, and Completed to see the work relevant to you.
• Keep useful thoughts close. Capture ideas, reminders, and links in autosaving notes. Pin important notes so they’re easy to find next time.
• Give your attention a little structure. Start a focus session on its own or connect it to a task. Pause, resume, and take a break when you need one.
• Reach your regular destinations faster. Keep favorite websites in your shortcut grid, browse bookmarks, and access frequently visited pages. Google apps and editable AI-tool shortcuts are available from the sidebar.
• Return to a project without rebuilding your tabs. Save a group of open pages as a named workspace and reopen them together. The Recent panel also helps you recover tabs you closed.
• Get a quick picture of your day. See the time, local weather, and a daily quote. Optional screen-time tracking shows where your browsing time goes.
A dashboard that feels like yours
Daily Workspace uses a bento grid with cards of different sizes, giving each tool its own space.
Rearrange the cards, choose which tools appear, and personalize the dashboard with an accent color or wallpaper. Use light mode, dark mode, or follow your browser’s theme. A compact sidebar keeps additional tools and settings within reach.
Whether you prefer a quiet page with a few shortcuts or a fuller workspace with tasks and notes, you can shape the layout around your routine.
Useful without another account
Your settings, tasks, notes, saved workspaces, and screen-time records are stored locally in your browser. You can export a backup and restore your setup when needed.
Online features such as weather, search suggestions, and website icons connect to their respective external services. Optional browser permissions are requested for features that need them.
Daily Workspace is free and open source, with no account or subscription required.
Built for people who spend their day in a browser
If you regularly move between projects, research, writing, studying, or everyday admin, Daily Workspace gives you a familiar place to return to—a place to see your next task and keep useful things close.
Try it with the sites you visit most, a few tasks for today, and a note you want to remember.
I’d love to hear how you make it your own: which card would you use most, and what would make your new tab more useful?
