Reading a script at arm's length puts your phone's microphone across the room from your mouth, where it picks up the walls, the desk and the fan. Takewell is a teleprompter that also cleans up the sound.

Your script scrolls over the live front camera, so you keep eye contact. The page keeps pace with you and waits when you go quiet, and you can pause mid-take and pick up in the same file.

After you record, an on-device speech enhancer strips room noise, hum and reverb. You hear Original next to Enhanced before you save. Picture and sound are recorded together and the audio is cleaned afterwards, so nothing drifts.

Import a script from Files or any share sheet (.txt, .md, .rtf or PDF), or paste it in. Mirror mode works with beam-splitter rigs. Captions are transcribed on your phone, and you can fix a word before it is burned into the export.

There is no account, no ads and no credits. Every take is recorded, enhanced and stored on your phone.

Free takes run up to 60 seconds with a small watermark. Takewell Pro removes both and syncs your scripts across your iPhones: $14.99 a month, or $79.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $149.99 once.
