fylepad is a privacy-first intelligent writing workspace for note-taking and personal knowledge management. Rich text, Markdown, diagrams, and on-demand AI in a ~10 MB app.

It does everything a standard note-taking app should do, but with a number of features that are hard to find elsewhere. It supports three modes: you can use it as a local desktop app, in your browser with no login required, or in cloud mode to access your data from anywhere.

It has built-in AI that only gets involved when you need it. In local modes, you can use your own API keys, while in cloud mode, everything is managed by us.

fylepad combines a minimal design with a surprisingly large feature set, while still maintaining a binary size of around 10 MB. That alone makes it stand out from many existing applications.
