MONARC PRO is a free desktop video editor for macOS and Windows with an AI assistant built in. Describe the edit in plain language and it builds a real, editable timeline. Every AI change lands as an ordinary clip you can trim, move or undo, so you get the speed of AI and keep the control of a real editor.

What it does

• An assistant that edits the timeline. Ask for a cut, titles, captions, transitions or a music mix; it works step by step on your project, and every step can be undone.

• Captions in 99+ languages. Including Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and Gujarati, in Roman or native script. Burn them in, or export SRT and VTT.

• Search your footage. Transcription with word timestamps, and search by what's said or what's in the shot.

• Pro tools without the week of tutorials. Multi-track timeline with ripple edits and markers, one-click green screen, color grading, LUTs and auto grade, keyframes, stabilization, point and planar motion tracking, text behind a person, 109 transitions and 30 effects.

• Record in the app. Screen, camera and microphone.

• Generate what's missing. B-roll images, music and voice-over, made on our servers.

• Bring your own agent. Works with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor over MCP.

Free where it counts

• The whole editor runs on your computer. Your files stay on your machine, and you don't need an account to edit.

• Export H.264, HEVC, ProRes, VP9, audio and stills, up to 4K on your own GPU, on every plan.

• Transcription, translation, captions, search and the assistant never cost credits.

• Paid plans (Creator, Pro, Team) add monthly credits and cloud storage. Credits are only spent on generation, and unused credits carry over.
