Volito is an open motion graphics engine for developers and AI agents. It is the engine inside the MONARC PRO video editor, opened up, made by MONARC STUDIOS.
Every graphic is a small program: frame(t, $) returns the SVG of one frame. That makes it readable, diffable, seekable to any frame, and something an AI agent can write, check and fix. Describe the motion in one sentence; your agent picks one of 96 graphics, puts it in your brand, checks every frame and renders it.
96 ready-made graphics in 10 packs: Essentials, Broadcast, Social, Data, 3D, Transitions, Annotate, Type, Backdrops and Promo. Lower thirds, titles, tickers, score bugs, charts, world maps and globes, extruded 3D logos, kinetic type, transitions, CTAs and more.
One design, every brand: 36 built-in styles or your own DESIGN.md. Items draw with colour roles and faces, so a whole pack re-skins at once.
One design, every aspect: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 from the same item, kept inside title-safe areas, including the space platforms reserve on 9:16.
Motion without limits: any part takes any of 38 moves, springs and eases, idles, hits on a beat or a spoken word, or your own keyframes. Moods and seeds give a new choreography for every number.
On the voice: give it a transcript and text lands on the words that say it.
Drops onto footage: ProRes 4444 or HEVC with real alpha for Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects and CapCut, plus MP4, WebM, GIF, PNG frames or SVG.
Agent-native: an MCP server gives Claude Code, Cursor and other agents tools to find, preview (as an image they can see), check and render graphics, or to write their own.
Many scripts: Latin, Vietnamese, Cyrillic, Greek and Devanagari (Hindi), shaped properly.
Small and fast: renders in Node with no browser or GPU, about 51 MB installed; a still takes 0.14 s on a laptop.
With an agent: add npx -y volito mcp to your agent's MCP config.
From code: npm install volito for the CLI, the Node API and a browser player. npx volito list shows every graphic.
Docs, every pack and every style: volito.dev/docs
The engine is MIT. The packs are free to use in any video, personal or commercial; not for resale as templates.
