🚀 Just Launched: AI Hair Studio

I'm Kai, a solo developer. I’m super excited to share what I’ve been building for the past few months: AI Hair Studio.

💡 The Problem
We've all been there: sitting in the barber's chair, terrified that the haircut we picked won't suit our face shape. Existing virtual try-on apps often feel like simple stickers—lighting doesn't match, and dark hair is impossible to dye blonde realistically.

🛠️ The Solution & Tech Stack
I built a web-based tool (no app download needed!) to solve this.

• Face Shape Detection: Using MediaPipe, it analyzes facial landmarks to tell you if you have a Round, Square, or Oval face.

• Hybrid Generative Engine: I combined OpenCV masks with Google Gemini's generative capabilities. This allows the AI to "bleach" dark hair pixels and apply light colors (like Platinum Blonde) realistically while preserving the user's face identity.

• Stack: Python (Flask) on Cloud Run + Vue.js + Firebase.
