Balane Office is an experimental suite of eight standalone applications designed for local-first use on your own device, without requiring an account. This suite aims to provide a comprehensive set of tools for document creation, data management, and communication, all while prioritizing user privacy and data control.

• Documents: Write letters, reports, and long texts with an integrated editor. Features include format templates, lists, tables, images, change tracking, and support for DOCX, ODT, Markdown, PDF, and HTML formats.
• Spreadsheets: A powerful spreadsheet application with 343 functions, supporting both German and English syntax. It offers a large grid, formula auto-completion, custom functions with LAMBDA, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, and charting capabilities. Supports XLSX, ODS, CSV, TSV, and PDF.
• Presentations: Create slides with master layouts and presenter views. Includes 34 shapes, guides, transitions, animations, and export options for PDF, PPTX, ODP, and PNG.
• Forms: Capture data locally or in kiosk mode without a server. Offers 21 question types, conditional logic, revisions, and the ability to merge responses from multiple devices. Supports CSV, XLSX, PDF, and custom formats.
• Reports: Consolidate and analyze data from various sources like CSV, XLSX, and SQLite. Features query steps, relationships, key figures, pivot tables, and cross-filtering. Supports CSV, XLSX, SQLite, PDF, and PNG export.
• Post: An email client supporting IMAP and SMTP, with local storage and offline readability. It allows for multiple accounts, a unified inbox, full-text search, and optional AI-powered notes and response suggestions.
• Content Planner: Plan social media posts from idea to analysis, with week, month, board, and profile views. Supports various channels and integrates with iCloud Drive for data storage.
• Paperwork: Read, organize, and annotate existing PDFs locally without an account. Features include a reading view, page manipulation, annotation tools (text highlighter, notes, pen, shapes), and export with true PDF annotations.
