Venue booking market places is fast getting crowded with many players big & small like Just Dial, local Oye to name a few in the industry trying to get the edge. Almost all these players have a very similar offerings in terms of feature set & business model. Starting its presence in Chennai, BigFDay launched during first quarter of 2014 and quickly realized the pressing need to stand out in the crowded market. Sabin Rodriguez, Co-Founder & THE MAN behind BigFDay approached me to revamp the product experience.
We took the responsive web approach to seamlessly cater to both mobile & desktop users. Also the clear signals from market indicating the mobile & desktop blended experience dominating over 70% of commerce experience compared to less than 30% of mobile only approach, lead us towards responsive web approach.
In the span of three months I helped them quickly revamp the landing page, browse venues, venue booking & lead gen, how to info experience. Seamless end-to-end experience combined with fresh visual experience helped BigFDay to stand out & become one of the best venue booking portals in India.
